Rating: ***** This is a great book tis great! It's engaging and fun and is a great way to teach children how to count money and motivate them to find creative ways, such as a lemonade stand, to earn money and be responsible. It is a book about entrepreneurship, persistence, creativity, and rebound. And of course, math.

Classroom Ideas: This book can be used in the classroom to introduce the topic of counting money. You can have a lemonade stand in the classroom and ask parents to send in coins so students can buy a cup of lemonade and see how much money they earned. It's a fun way to bring the story to life and have the students make a connection to the story.

  1. I like this book! I just did a lesson on Madame C. J Walker and we pretended to make a store. This book is great and can be used in various areas in the classroom. This store is so realistic and can also help with learning about money, presidents, and counting.

  2. This book sounds very interesting and I think that having a lemonade stand is a fun way to have them learn about money. I have a kindergartener and a second grader and they have started to ask for money to purchase snacks after school, I think this would be a good book for them to read. Teaching them how to earn money and also the value of it so they will know how much is needed when making their purchases.

  3. I think that its great to get the children learning about the concept of money. They are learning while also having fun because of course the children are going to want to set up a lemonade stand! I think that there are so many ways you can go about the book not just one activity and thats great!
